Hebrews 2:14 & 15 (KJV)
“For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”
Fear has a way of getting us caught up with the problem, but faith causes us to do the opposite and be caught up with the answer. Salvation does not remove problems from you. It gives you victory over them.
When we are led by the mind of reason, that mindset often gets us into problems. The New Testament is revelation knowledge and understanding that God is at work in the midst of the problems. If my life is based on fear, it will attract darkness, but if my life is centered in faith, then I release words of light. David said, “Your word is a lamp unto my feet.”When the attack comes, it is often leveled against your faith. The scripture encourages us to fight the good fight of faith. It has been said by many that a good fight is the one that you win. We are meant to be victorious people. I think that when we are, we are attractive to others. They want to know where our peace comes from. 1 John 5:4 says that you are a world overcomer.
1Timothy 6:12 says, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where unto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” I truly believe that we lay hold of what Christ has for us in inheritance by warfare. Faith has a way of drawing us through the most incredibly difficult circumstances. Therefore, what surrounds it is a battle. When you are dealing with problems, do not talk about the problem, do not talk to the problem, and do not talk about how big the problem is; but counteract that with how big your God is. It has been said that you are either as big as your faith or you are as small as your fears.
I would like to conclude this with an encouragement to each one of you to trust in God and believe that He has given you the strength to overcome. His intention is that you walk with power in the life that He has given you.
