When Peter uttered the words that he would never fail Jesus; Jesus, knowing that Peter would deny Him, told Peter that He would be praying for him. That is such an intimate picture into the mind of our Saviour. Every day I have a choice to change my will to the will of God. There is never a time that my choice is not important in choosing to walk in the will of God. I hope that by some of the things I have said over the last number of months that we are creating a new culture of thinking within our hearts.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is
lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
From this verse it appears there is a new way of thinking or a new way for our mind to process our lives. It gives a clear understanding how to drive out what I want out. It is a matter of displacement. The old way I used to think and respond are traded in and exchanged for the new mind of Christ and a new way to think.
