Genesis 1:28 (KJV)
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
When god finished creating the heaven and the earth, it says he rested. He didn’t rest until He had released the blessing on Adam; completed his work and poured himself into mankind and crowned us with His creative power. He turned it over to us and gave Adam a garden to tend and when it was finished, I think he fully intended on bringing heaven to earth where it was his desire that heaven and earth would merge. That blessing was divinely designed to draw us into all that God has for humanity. Whenever the blessing is released it goes to work in creating harmony with the love of God; it makes everything good.
Do you know that God has programmed you to be a blessing and to give a blessing because you have been born to love and be loved? God put that pattern of creativity into our creation. Apple seeds to bring forth apple trees, bean seeds to bring forth bean plants, animals to reproduce after their kind, and humans to reproduce after their own kind. That blessing carries with it that blueprint of the Garden of Eden. It is designed to reproduce what God empowered the human family to do: be fruitful, proper, and walk in dominion.
Finally, when you and I walk in faith, God’s word works every time and all the time. In the garden the blessing was in place and God rested. He still rests, He hasn’t changed, and He hasn’t altered the plan. God has given his word and we today rest in the power of that blessing and walk in the truth of his words no matter what comes our way. Everything he has done is to that central purpose; to walk in that blessing and to take us back to what he originally said through Jesus Christ his son.
